my son cheerfully power sanding the ruined hood. We did a stripe, then remembered breathing masks were a good idea, so halted that fun for now

and an hour or so of wet sanding the roof was less than half of it. but OH so satisfying!

these tar like contaminents in the paint are REALLY annoying.
